Niger Honey

Primarily grown in Shan State for its edible oil and oily seed. Beautiful yellow flower, only flowers for a couple of weeks. An extensive crop grown for generations giving beekeepers security to find food for their bees. 
 
Harvest: November to December 
Flavour: Bittersweet, floral and smoky 
Colour: Strong yellow and gold 
Health: Magnesium, potassium, and zinc, can affect hormonal levels in the body
